I use Ubuntu (linux) for several years now, but one of the features I liked about the latest version of MS Windows are the wallpaper packages (themepack)
also
While Ubuntu have these packages are not compatible between the two systems, and I would really like the packages that are available for download on the Microsoft site, especially those that are "The Best Of Bing, there are several versions and all have spectacular photos are a real pleasure to use.
So, here are some simple steps explain how to use packages wallpapers MS Windows (themepacks) in Ubuntu
1 - Find the item you like on the Windows site:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/personalize/themes
2 - Download the one you like by clicking on "Download"
3 - The file will have a ". themepack" which is not recognized by Ubuntu, so you just change the extension to "7z" and the Right click select "extract here". For example:
If the file is called "BestOfBing5.Themepack" just press the right mouse button on the name and type "BestOfBing5.7z."
If that your Ubuntu fails to decompress the file, go to the "Center Ubuntu software" and install "7zip" and retry the operation.
4 - To decompress a folder is created and within that one called "DesktopBackground." Within that folder are all the photos of the package. We now proceed to create the theme for Ubuntu. To do this walk to the site:
http://gtk-apps.org/content/show.php/XML+slideshow+creator?content=119728
and press "Download" on the link "(XML slideshow creator DEB i386 ) ", then run the file and install the application.
5 - The application "XML Slideshow creator" will be installed Applications> Accessories, run it and now just select the folder where the photos (with "Select Folder" choose folder "DesktopBackground" created above). Then where it says "Background Name" choose a file name, keeping the extension. Xml, then where it says "Slideshow Time" selects the time it displays each wallpaper in minutes (I choose 30 minutes), and then " Animation Time singles last time the transition from one image to another in seconds (I choose 5 seconds) and then, if you want to immediately put the package as wallpaper, branded with a ticket the "After generate, apply as background "and then press "Generate" and ready.

If you selected the option "After generate ..." to put the wallpaper package as you enter the menu selection ubuntu wallpaper and "Add" select. xml file that was generated from the images folder.
That's it, any questions post it in the comments.
